Quality Assurance Unit at Faculty of Physical Education, Tanta University, was founded in 2007 in fulfillment of the procedures of establishing an internal quality system at Faculty of Physical Education, Tanta University, and to devise a plan for the executive program in accordance with the mission and strategic objectives of the Faculty. As stipulated in the decree of Faculty Council in its ninth session held on March 18, 2007, the Unit was sanctioned as an administrative body specialized in following up and evaluation of performance inside the Faculty. Moreover, the Unit seeks to advance the Faculty so as to meet the requirements and criteria of quality with the purpose of gaining community's trust in graduates through continuous development and improvement of the educational process according to definite and obvious standards. Tasks of Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty
1. To draw up the Unit's vision, mission, objectives and strategic plans and to ratify them from Faculty Council.
2. To choose the organizational and administrative structure of the Unit and to ratify them from Faculty Council.
3. To devise mechanisms for founding an internal quality system at the Faculty including academic and non-academic aspects.
4. To devise mechanisms to activate internal evaluation at the Faculty of academic and non-academic activities in coordination with different departments. It is also necessary to ratify these mechanisms from Faculty Council.
5. To support and follow up Faculty Administration, draw up the Faculty mission and publish it.
6. To follow up the academic activities at the Faculty including setting criteria, specifications of programs and academic curricula.
7. To observe and revise the annual reports of Faculty self-evaluation.
8. To follow up students evaluation systems and to develop them.
9. To train the Academic Staff in the new evaluation methods.
10. To set a mechanism for larger participation from Faculty students.
11. To foster and follow up Faculty Administration and different departments during preparation for field visits.
12. To observe nomination of the external evaluator of the academic program according to ratified criteria and to revise bylaws.
