Faculty of Sports Science at Tanta University, organized an awareness symposium titled “Your Choices Shape Your Health, Make Your Health Your Brand” on Saturday, September 19th, 2026. The symposium was held as part of the exerted efforts to promote health and psychological awareness among students, encourage healthy behaviors, and strengthen a culture of caring for both physical and mental well-being.
The event was held under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University; Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Hany Sa’eed, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science; Prof. Fatma Bassiouny, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Omar Abdel Mon’em, General Supervisor of the Medical Administration at the University.
The symposium addressed a range of health and psychological topics presented by specialists, including:
• Dr. Heba Al-Lakawy, who discussed mental health and ways of coping with daily stress.
• Dr. Wegdan Karam, who introduced the university’s Medical Administration and addressed addiction to cosmetic products and painkillers.
• Dr. Yara Fayyadh, who discussed nutrition, dental health, and related psychological aspects.
• Dr. Norhan Samy, who addressed smart applications, health misinformation on social media, and addiction to shopping through mobile applications.
• Dr. Sara Hossam Addin, who discussed smoking and drug addiction, as well as psychological first aid.
The symposium was organized as part of the “Salim” Health Education Campaign, which means (Fit), held under the slogan “Your Health Is Your Brand”. The campaign was launched by Tanta University to raise students’ health awareness and provide comprehensive educational content addressing the various factors that affect their health and daily lives.
Through such activities, the university seeks to help students make more informed health and lifestyle choices and adopt healthier behaviors. The organizers concluded by wishing all students a productive and successful academic year.
