Introduction

It is one of the scientific departments of the Faculty of Physical Education and started under the name of the Department of Sports Training, and the Department of Kinesiology. Both of the departments have been merged with the new regulation of the bachelor stage under the name of the Department of Sports training and Kinesiology Department. The two departments are still separate at the post-graduate level. The department after being merged, seeks to excellence in scientific research and its applications in the field of training and kinesiology, and strengthening the scientific research between the department and the research centers related to the formation and selection of talented athletes and raise the level of sport, and the preparation of the trainer and training him locally and regionally and providing him with the latest scientific findings in the field of training and Kinesiology.
The Department is considered one of the departments of the Faculty of Physical Education, which grants a bachelor's degree in the diciplines of training division.
After changing the regulation of the Faculty, the bachelor's degree is granted to a general division to be qualified to work in all the fields of physical education.
