Faculty of Sports Science Shines in Opening of “University President’s Cup” with Five-Goal Victory and Clean Sheet


   In a festive and energetic atmosphere, Tanta University launched the activities of the “University President’s Cup” football tournament, with a strong and standout participation from the Faculty of Sports Science, which asserted its presence from the very beginning of the competition.
   The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. Mohammed Hussein, President of the University, accompanied by Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Hany Sa’eed, Dean of Faculty of Sports Science. The event was also attended by a number of deans, vice deans, youth welfare directors, and sports activity supervisors from across the university.
   Faculty of Sports Science football team began its group-stage campaign with an impressive upward trajectory, recording the following results:
•    Opening match (Thursday, April 16th): A competitive 0–0 draw against Faculty of Science. 
•    Second match: A dominant 4–0 victory over Faculty of Applied Arts. 
•    Third match: A resounding 5–0 win against Tanta National University (Ahliya). 
   These results strengthen the team’s position in the competition, highlighting their high technical and physical performance under the guidance of a well-integrated technical and administrative staff, including:
•    Coaching staff: Captain Mahmoud Ali Agarma and Captain Mohammed Youssef 
•    Performance analyst: Captain Mohammed Khallaf 
•    Administrative supervision: Ahmed Mustafa (Sports Activity Officer) and Al-Sayyed Amer (Director of Youth Welfare) 
   Attention now turns to the team’s upcoming match scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, as the football team aims to secure a win to top their group and continue their journey toward the coveted title.
