Historic Overview

Study Started at the Faculty as a department of Faculty of Education, Tanta University in the academic year 1982/1983. The Faculty granted the scientific degree according to the internal bylaw of Faculty of Education, Tanta University which is: the Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, General Division: 1677 on 28th of October 1996 was released to apply the internal bylaw upon the new students of the new academic year, 1999/2000. It was according to the approval of University Council in its session held on 29th of June 1999. Faculty of Physical Education aims to reach distinction and leadership in the fields of education, learning, and research activities and meet the needs of the society and surrounding environment in the field of sport.

• Participating in developing sports awareness through communication with the society and the surrounding environment.
Faculty of Physical Education at Tanta University is an educational and research institute that does its best to achieve its vision through:-
• Developing and improving scientific research to serve the educational process.

• Preparing distinguished graduates in the fields of education, training and sports management to meet the requirements of labor market locally and regionally
• Developing and improving scientific research to serve the educational process.

    1- Developing Educational Programs and curricula.

    3-Applying quality assurance standards for continuous development for activities of the Faculty.
    4-Developing the abilities of the Academic staff and the assistant staff and creating a positive research environment.
    5- Providing a base for scientific research and enhancing scientific and servicing relationships of the Faculty locally and internationally.
    6- Developing the organizational and administrative structure to suit the activities of the Faculty.
    7-Developing financial resources to achieve educational, research and servicing outputs.
