Faculty of Sports Science at Tanta University has inaugurated a new chess training center for its male and female students, as part of ongoing efforts by the Youth Welfare Department to discover and develop student talents across various fields.
The initiative aims to provide students with professional training and hands-on experience under the guidance of specialized coaches. The center was established following the approval of Prof. Hany Sa’eed, Faculty Dean, in coordination with the General Administration of Youth Welfare, led by Dr. Mohammed Al-Qasir, Director General, and Ms. Marian, Director of Social Activities.
Training sessions are held three days a week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, under technical supervision of Prof. Mohammed Sho’aib from Faculty of Engineering, a member of the Gharbia Chess Association and a well-known referee in the sport.
The center is administratively managed by Ahmed Mustafa, while overall supervision is provided by Al-Sayyed Amer, Director of Youth Welfare Department at the faculty.
The chess training center continues to offer its services, with best wishes for success to all participating students.
